I hate computers

Have you ever had a USB device, like a flash drive or an external hub refuse to install? You can try to reinstall the drivers again and again but you just get an error message saying it couldn't install because "function driver not specified"? Well that used to happen to me on a PC with Windows 2000 and SP4 installed. But when I installed the Windows 2000 Update Rollup 1 for Service Pack 4 my troubles were over. I googled about this error prior to my breakthrough but didn't find this helpful hint on the web anywhere. It is on now.
